Overview: The session includes 24 days of learning. Mornings are devoted to academic instruction in reading and math while the afternoon sessions provide enrichment opportunities for students in art, music, physical education, technology, and science. Morning instruction is delivered in a small group setting with a maximum of 10 students per teacher. Afternoons may consist of a larger group of students with a student/instructor ratio of up to 20 to 1. Parents are given the option to enroll their student into morning sessions only or the full day. Students are provided breakfast, lunch, and snack through the schools' summer feeding program. The Choctaw Nation provides necessary school supplies for the 24 day summer learning program.

Assessments: Assessments are to be given within the first four days of summer school and within the last four days of summer school. Students are considered to be in the school grade level just completed at school.
